3rd Edition Canadian Genealogy Carnival - Around the Kitchen Table

Welcome to the 3rd Edition of the Canadian Genealogy Carnival.

The topic for this edition is "Around the Kitchen Table". Does your family have a favourite Canadian recipe? Or perhaps you have the recipe to your Canadian ancestor's favourite dish. Maybe you just like Canadian Maple syrup. Share with us your favourite Canadian recipe and/or food.

To start things off, Colleen Johnson shares a maple cookie recipe at Around the Kitchen Table posted at CMJ Office.

M. Diane Rogers presents Canadian Genealogy Carnival - 'Around the Kitchen Table'. posted at CanadaGenealogy, or, 'Jane's Your Aunt'. Diane shares two recipes: Wartime Butter and her Na's Coffee Cake.

Janet Iles presents Around the Table - Canadian Style posted at Janet the researcher. Janet shares her thoughts on maple syrup, pea soup, slop and leftovers!

Apple presents Apple's Tree: Grandma's Kitchen posted at Apple's Tree, saying, "My memories may not be uniquely Canadian but I enjoyed the trip down memory lane."

Evelyn Yvonne Theriault presents "Pain et melasse cherie" posted at A Canadian Family, saying, "Molasses - sweet to eat, but not such a sweet history."

You can find my post at Canadian Confections. I share some favourites treats that can only be found in Canada.

Thank-you to this edition's participants for sharing their recipes and memories of "Around the Kitchen Table".

That concludes this edition. Thanks for dropping by.  The details for the 4th Edition of the Canadian Genealogy Carnival are still being worked out. It involves a guest host, unscrupulous ancestors and prizes! Details will be posted here, on the guest host's blog and on the GeneaBloggers Group page on Facebook this week-end.

Past posts and future hosts can be found on the blog carnival index page.
